My Dad encouraged us to wake up earlier so we could get more work done--but its so much more than that. I was left in awesome wonder of the hidden beauty a few hours in the morning bring. The smell, sounds, color...I didn't come close to capturing it!
I must admit, I'm not a morning person (more like a "night owl") but I think I may change my habits....

I have to agree! I, too, have been waking up earlier each morning and it provides so much more for me - in getting things done as well as more time for reflection. Your photos are just beautiful!!
Thanks for inspiring us with your words, pictures, they way you live. I love it and am inspired by it. I love coming to this place in Georgia to relax!
I'm a night own too. But if we were to hit the hay loft earlier we might not find it so hard to get up and greet the day with the birds!
Beautiful pictures, Mia! I am somewhat a night owl, too. The land around your home is very pretty. Remnanent said that you live in Georgia. I didn't know that. I don't live there now, but it's my home. I was born and raised there and have lived there most of my life. God bless you.
What serene, beautiful and peaceful looking pictures, Mia! I was greatly encouraged by this post! I'm trying to work on rising early too!! :)
Many Blessings,
Jen
How beautiful pictures! The dawn is really wonderful, should wake up much earlier... So strange to watch the nature where you live, around our house is there for the time beeing lots of snow...
Your blog and your words are so beautiful that I have added your site to my "Great Places to Visit" link. I have five daughters. I hope they grow up with hearts like yours.
God bless you,
Donna
Oh, I couldn't miss the beautiful early morning for much!! I've been getting up about 4:45 - 5 am, and after a few mornings of doing that, it feels just wonderful:) Of course, I do have to go to bed By 9pm. Enjoy that beautiful time of day~
Mia, your pictures are amazing!! You do a fantastic job with photography:)
Your sister in Christ,
Jenna
Just beautiful, Mia!

Oh that is heartbreakingly beautiful. I want to be where you are!!
beautiful! what an inspiration to get up early!
These are BEAUTIFUL shots! I absolutely love them. It's inspired me to get up earlier!
I know how you feel. I've been an early bird since my pre-teen years (I'm 28 now). There's just something about living in a morning being created that I love. We have an outdoor wood furnace and sometimes I let hubby off the hook and I'll go load it. It's so nice to walk outside just as the sun starts peeking over the horizon...the farm and neighborhood quiet except for the gentle rustle of a morning breeze and a few animals winking awake. The smell of the woodsmoke, the cool-crisp air....it's beautiful.
How gorgeous Mia! =) Those pictures are *so* pretty!

Those are beautiful pictures! I wish we lived out in the country where I could get pictures like that.
Mia,
Your pictures are beautiful. What a wonderful way to begin the day, basking in the wonders of His creation. My girls have really enjoyed reading your blog. If you ever come back to the Houston area, they would love to meet you.
Those are beautiful pictures! I'm definitely a nightowl :) This is my first visit to your blog, and enjoy reading your different points of view. I'm a Christian as well (and a friend of Ellie's :D). I'll be following this blog :)
These are gorgeous pictures!
The bluberry picture is my favorite. What kind of camrea do you use? I love to wake up early too! :)

Mia,
You make me long for simpler times.
You know what I wish for more than anything in today's world? Peace and quiet. No sounds of traffic - just birds and the wind. The "white noise" of society can be so subliminally annoying. We get cranky and don't even know why. I think so often it is just because no matter where we go we can't get away from noise. Even the refrigerator doing its job makes noise.
I love the late evenings and wee hours when everyone is home in bed and the stillness is so complete here in our part of PA.
If only it were that way during the day....
Diane
Hello Mia,
My name is Allyson and I really enjoy reading you blog!! Your photography and how you set up your blog is an inspiration! Your blog reminds me what is most important in life! The music is wonderful!
Just starting to absorb your blog - the music alone is enough to keep me coming back. All the Best!
Oh, I should add - I like the photos too!! I'll be back.
Wow, breathtaking photos!
I'm the same. Not really a morning a person, but on those rare occasions when I am up early, I am always struck by the beauty of nature waking up to greet the sunrise.

My Mom just sent me your blog via e-mail. I just spent about 30 minutes looking at it. I love your blog especially the vintage pics on your side bar.

I forgot to tell you that I love your song list. My favorite hymn is "When I survey the Wondrous Cross".

I am such a night owl too! Those are gorgeous pictures! It is amazing what you see if you are early enough in the dawn of morning.
Just found your blog. Enjoyed my visit. I will return.
