An Old-Fashioned Picnic

My family is hosting a picnic in September, and you're invited to attend!!!
I thought it would be fun to have a free event for the whole family, and even get to meet some of you, especially if you're near the (GA) area!
There will be music, games, and first-rate fellowship :)
I created a super-simple webpage: with all the information!
I hope this is far-enough in advance for you to plan to come!!

The Fellowship of the Believers
"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,
and in breaking of bread, and in prayer." Acts 2:42 KJV

I wish it was possible for my family to come, but my baby girl is due Sept 18th! Doesn't look like I'll be traveling to far from home! I do pray that your family picnic is very successful! And maybe you'll have another one the following year?!

I will mark my calendar and check in closer to date. You are about six hours from me so not too bad.

Great idea! Hope you get a large attendance.

That sounds so lovely!

We are about 6-8 hours from your area, so it is doubtful that we could attend, but we will see as September gets closer.

I hope a lot of families will be able to make it out there though!

How exciting!! You girls never cease to amaze me!....(You may want to look into renting hum...porta potty.... The attendance may surprise you :)

Yes Mia, your bed deal was super, but Mom's job on the dining room really has my mouth dropping open!!!!

My husbnad and I are talking about attending. I would love to see Georgia. Would you mind if a family of 4 from NY came? I am fine with wearing skirts or dresses, what would be appropriate for my husband? (he served in the USMC and has some tatoos would it be best if he covered them?) We are a christian homeschool family as well. Would you kindly help me understand what would be expected?

I didn't realize that you had planned it for a local park! (That's why the recommendation for a porta potty LOL!) Indian Springs State Park is a very nice location...Looking forward to it. Let our family know how we can be of help :)

Thank you for your comments!!
Ms. Rhonda,
Oh, I completely understand! Yes, if the picnic goes well, we may make it an annual event :)
Southern maiden,
Wow, it would be wonderful to have your family come!
Ms. Carole,
I'm glad you all are considering attending! That's the reason I announced it a few months in advance..I wanted to give everyone a chance to check the calendar :)
Dear Merideth,
I understand! Especially since you have farm animals to think about! Thanks for commenting and letting me know :)
Hey Ms. Lisa!
haha, that's true :)
Ms. Trish,
We'd love to have your family come!! Oh my, and all the way from NY! I do think you'll like Ga though, it's nice!
Not in any way would I want to create "rules", so whatever the Lord convicts your heart to do--that decision is up to y'all! :)
As far as "expectations", hmm..well, I've had a few emails asking if ladies could "dress up" so I think it won't be as casual as regular picnics are. But that sounds like fun to me!
We're still in the planning stages, so I'm glad that you asked!! Thank you :)
Ms. Lisa,
I'm glad your family is planning on coming!! I look forward to talking about it more with you this evening :)

In Christ,

Hi Mia,

I keep finding you in my "sitemeter" statistics so I thought I would drop over and say "Hi!" Your blog is darling and I love the fact that you're always dressed in prairie clothes. I wish I could get away with that, but I live in the big city.
I hope you have a lovely day!

God bless,

This sounds so lovely! We are a lot farther north in GA that you, but I'm sure we could make it down. I'll be sure to talk to my mom about this!

Oh Mia that sounds like so much fun! I hope my family can make it. My mom's baby is due the end of September. Have you picked an exact date yet?
